Abstract

Despite a very extensive lifespan of modern Russian paganism, according to the chronological history of the Russian NRM (New Religious Movements), issues related to the genesis of international contacts of polytheists of the XX century, caused by the excessive behavior of the group leaders, are really underreported in theological scientific community. The article discusses the features of Russian-Lithuanian “pagan connections” of 90s of the last century. Results of making it by ideologists of Russian “Slavic Union of Communities” and communities “Kolyada” to the European pagan platform translated into the formulation of provisions' of the European Natural religious associations, recognition by European paganism of the ritual practices of the emerging Russian priestly class of sorcerers, the development of one of the first Russian models Russian pagan morality and the introduction of the conceptual apparatus “Rodnoverie” — the key concept of pagan terminology under construction.
