| Abstract: |
The rhetoric of Pachomius the Logothete is studied. The object of analysis is the reflective passages of this homily, in which the author manifested himself in the best way. By means of source analysis it was found that significant amount of author’s reflections were borrowed. But there are also independent and original fragments in this work. They have didactical and catechetical purpose, develop a tradition of dramatized description of historical events and show restraint of Pachomius as rhetorician from formal and stylistical point of view. |
