Abstract: In this article the comparative analysis of parameters of European mentality in the Renáissance period in Europe and The Old Russia of the same period is made on128the ground of the ethnofunctional methodology in science. The paper sites the results of the investigation of the role of integration of the antic (pagan) mythology into Italian mentality in development of the phenomenon of the Renáissance (in Italia and North Europe), particularly, the scientific thinking. The important result of analysis is the existence of invariable specificity of the character of ethnofunctional conflicts in mentality of Old Russia, Moscow State and modern Russia.
