Abstract: The wedding ritual in Vesyegonsk territory of Tver region in its present state is considered in the article. The integrated ethnocultural wedding ritual complex was formed on that territory as a result of a longstanding mutual habitation and inter-ethnic interactions of Russian and Karelian population. Both Russian and Karelian wedding rituals have the same structure, however, some certain moments in their inner contents reveal their ethnic peculiarity.
