Abstract: The article is devoted to the justification of the specifics of Russian liberalism, which originated at the turn of the XVIII-XIX centuries. The problem is considered on the papers by a Russian historian Nikolai Osipov published in 1955-1970-s in the socio-political almanac «Bridges» in Munich by the Central union of political refugees from the USSR.
