| Abstract: |
The article summarizes the approaches to the analysis of Russian medieval architecture which included the compositions with order forms. The paper proposes to isolate the essential qualities of an order - decorative quality, tectonics, canonicity, innovation, ensemble and isolation - which are considered to be the archetypal traits of «Russian orders» and options for its compositional role. |
