Abstract: The paper views two tendencies in the history of development of Christian Church as socio-cultural processes which represent normative (institutionalist) and transcendent and impulsive (enthusiastic) mechanisms of historic formation of religious organization. It gives examples of enthusiasm manifestation in the Church Councils epoch and also in the period of Western reformism revival and development. The author defines the complimenatary relations between these mechanisms of organizational development.
