| Abstract: |
The article considers the ritual rounds of yards throughout calendar cycle as a factor contributing to consolidation of a traditional society. It describes mechanisms characteristic of ritual traditions that brings out the feeling of unity as a result of common value system owing to rivalry between neighbouring communities due to complimentary behaviour towards fellow villagers prescribed by ritual situation. |
