The article produces new evidence for N. V. Gogol's idea, that the poem by A. S. Pushkin "Long was your conversation with Homer..." was addressed to the Czar Ni-kolaj Pavlovich. This is also partly proved by the draft lines of the poem (unknown to Gogol): "Powerful master, / Long was your conversation with Homer...". |
