| Abstract: | In the article there is an attempt to bring out a mechanism of Goncharov's interaction with folk and ancient tradition. The displays of poetics of magic tale in Goncharov's novels and also a process and results of Goncharov's learning of «antiquity lessons» are researched. Russian folklore and ancient art are determined as a basic tradition of the author's creative work. |
